State Certified 1986 (CCR)
Nationally Certified 1987 (RPR)
Certified Manager of Reporting Services 2009 (CMRS)
Lori Heaphy was born and raised in Arabi, Louisiana, a suburb of New Orleans, surrounded by a large, close-knit extended family. After graduating from high school in 1982, she attended USL in Lafayette, Louisiana and Franklin College of Court Reporting in Metairie, Louisiana. In 1986, Lori became a state certified court reporter (CCR), and later became a nationally certified court reporter (RPR) in 1987.
Lori began her career as an official court reporter working for Judge Imbornone in the First City Court of New Orleans before moving into freelance work. In 1991, Lori and her family moved to the Lafayette, Louisiana area, where she continued to work as a freelance reporter.
With experience inside and outside of the courtroom, Lori knew what attorneys needed from their court reporter to ensure their cases ran efficiently; thus, with the support from the legal community, Lori Heaphy & Associates, LLC opened its doors in 2002. Lori strived to have her firm’s name be synonymous with professional court reporters that provide accurate, quality transcripts leading to the massive success of her firm.
As her firm continued to grow, Lori obtained her certification as a Certified Manager of Reporting Services (CMRS) in 2009. This gave her the skills necessary to move the firm forward and allow Lori Heaphy & Associates to become one of the premier court reporting firms in Louisiana.
With over 20 years in business, Lori Heaphy & Associates has a knowledgeable, fully staffed office and continues to use the best court reporters that are dedicated to the art of preserving the record.
